About the Speaker
Thomas Shanley, DVP, Key Accounts, Strategic Relationship Management, John Hancock Retirement
In this role, Tom develops and leads a team of experienced relationship managers. The team executes client strategies to maximize the impact of their retirement programs and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. Together, Tom and his team develop consultative, strategic, and collaborative relationships with John Hancock’s largest clients, financial professionals, and TPAs with the goal of creating a unique consultative experience that produces meaningful results. He joined the organization in 2007 and has almost 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining John Hancock, Tom was an assistant vice president and senior relationship manager for Putman Investments. He earned a B.A. in Sociology at Rhode Island College and holds FINRA Series 7, 26, and 63 licenses, as well as a Connecticut insurance producer license. Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and recent college graduate twin sons, traveling, kayaking, and an occasional cigar or two. He’s located in Thompson, Connecticut.
