Public schools struggle to keep teachers on their jobs, increasing the stress on school administrations. Earlier this year, AASPA (a national school HR association) held a special conference to focus on this issue. To compound the problem, the number of students graduating from university with degrees in education has dropped in half since 1970. Schools need help with employee retention. A major benefit schools have is their pension plans, but most public employees have little understanding of their benefits. Providing educational opportunities focused on an employees pension plan can help schools improve their employee retention.
