About the Speakers


Darlene Flagg, Vice President, Head of Retirement Business, National Life Group.
Darlene Flagg is a Vice President and Head of Retirement Business at National Life Group and leads institutional sales and marketing strategies for retirement plans, including 403(b), 457, 401(a), and 3121 opportunities. She has also served as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Annuity Marketing at National Life, and has over twenty-seven years of financial services and marketing experience with twenty years in senior management capacities. Prior to joining National Life in 2015, Darlene worked at AIG VALIC (CoreBridge) as Vice President of Institutional Marketing. As a former President of the Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS) National Board she has been instrumental in attracting, developing, and advancing women in financial services. Darlene has also served as President of the National Tax-Deferred Savings Association (NTSA), and for six years was an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix, Houston campuses. Darlene earned both her Bachelor's (BA) and Master’s (MA) degree in Strategic Communications from Seton Hall University.


Jennifer Prosise, CFP, CSLP, CRES, Financial Advisor, The Voyager Group/Lincoln Investment
Jennifer Prosise lives in Joliet, IL with her two sons, Joshua, age 17 and Jacob, age 14, senior and freshman respectively. She has worked for The Voyager Group, Ltd. in Joliet for the last 16 years. Jennifer is a CERTIFIEND FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, Certified Student Loan Professional, Financial Advisor and has a CRES certification. She has her FINRA Series 7,63 and 65 securities registrations. She also has her Illinois Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses, as well. Jennifer attended Dominican University in River Forest where she received her BA in Business Administration in 2003, followed by her MBA in Finance in 2005. Jennifer is very active in her community. She has served in many volunteer positions over the last 10 years. She was Vice President and President of the Troy Schools PTO. Jennifer was actively involved in the Troy Parent Advisory Council for the Campus PAC for 4 years. She is past President and Vice President for the Joliet Park Foundation. She participated in Mentor 2.0 with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Will County in conjunction with the Joliet High Schools. Jennifer worked with 2 female students for 3 years each and the goal was to get them to college. In 2020 Jennifer was initiated into the Joliet Elks. She has been a member of the Council for Working Women for the last 5 years and served on the Board for 4 years. Jennifer is also a past youth leader for High School FIRE at her church and she is a current Deacon. Jennifer is the Treasurer for the Estate Planning Council for the greater Joliet area. Lastly, Jennifer was just nominated to join the Leadership Council for NTSA starting January 2023. Jennifer is very passionate about her job and helping others. She has been helping clients achieve student loan forgiveness for 5 years now and has helped to get over $5.6 million forgiven. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys watching her boys play baseball. Next year, her son will be playing baseball for Concordia University in Chicago.


Toni Whaley, CRES, CEO, Financial Planner, Paladin Advisor Group
2024 NTSA President and 2024 Marquis Who's Who Honoree, Toni E. Whaley is Co-Founder and CEO of Paladin Advisor Group, A PlanMember Financial Center. She has been a financial planner for over 20 years. Together with her husband Mike, she has grown Paladin Advisor Group to nine associate financial professionals, servicing several counties in the greater Baltimore and Washington DC area. Paladin services over 3,500 clients and manages over $290 million in client assets. Toni currently holds series 6, 65, 63 and life and health licenses; and a CRES – Certified Retired Education Specialist designation. As a financial professional, Toni focuses on helping those who make it their mission to serve others. Her clients include education professionals and their spouses, Federal employees, and employees of for-profit and non-profit organizations as well as Small Business. Helping people discover who they are, who they want to become and plan for their future is a major focus for Toni. Toni belongs to the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Professional Women, the Financial Services Institute, and the Howard County Estate Planning Council. Paladin Advisor Group is listed as an A+ accredited company with the Better Business Bureau. Toni is a topical speaker on subjects such as personal financial fitness, understanding how money works in our economy and personal responsibility. Toni is well-versed in pension and benefit features, retirement income planning, and senior benefits topics such as Medicare and Social Security.
