No, these are the numbers of some of the Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOPs) that should guide pension actuaries in performing their services. About the Speaker
David J. Kupstas, FSA, EA, MSEA is an enrolled actuary for NFP in Midlothian, VA. He has worked in the retirement plan industry for over 30 years, specializing in plan design, administration, and compliance testing for small and mid-size plans of all types, particularly traditional defined benefit plans, cash balance/401(k) combos, and cross-tested defined contribution plans. He is a regular speaker at local, regional, and national seminars for actuaries and CPAs. He writes frequently on his company's blog about retirement plan topics of general interest and is an occasional contributor to the ASEA Monthly newsletter and ASPPA's Plan Consultant magazine.
